Moroccan Oil Body Soufflé
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that you’ve probably heard of Argan Oil, aka Moroccan Oil, in some form or another. Tons of hair and skin care lines are coming out with new products featuring this moisturizing oil so it’s pretty hard to miss!
My first exposure to Moroccan Oil was a couple years back when my hair stylist (shout out to Melle at Urban Lift in Lakeview!) started running the most amazing smelling product through my hair. She told me it was this new line called Moroccanoil that they had just started carrying. They were skeptical about it at first because what average client would want to buy a hair oil?! Aren’t oils just for people with super thick/frizzy hair? Don’t they just weigh hair down?? Crazy to think that just 2 years ago this was how people felt about hair oils! Based on smell alone I knew I had to have this product, but the end result really sealed the deal. Since then I’ve tried tons of different hair oils (because, if you didn’t already know, I’m kind of a beauty product whore), but none of them have compared to the Moroccanoil Treatment. The smell, the texture, the end result-from L’Oreal to Ojon to Kerastase…it can’t be beat!
Now, Moroccanoil is not exactly the cheapest of brands to get hooked on. Luckily 1 bottle of this Treatment goes a long way, I don’t wash my hair everyday and this lasted me well over 6 months. If it weren’t for the hefty price tag, my shower would be full of every single one of their products, because I just can’t get enough of the AMAZING SMELL! Yes, I’m mildly obsessed. Imagine my excitement when I found out that Morrocanoil was coming out with a line of body care products! So now my entire body can smell like Moroccanoil?!? Sign me up!
I stopped in to my local Blue Mercury this past weekend to check out the products and, as expected, I’ve reached a whole new level of obsessed. Their Body Soufflé is seriously heavenly-I rubbed a bit on my arm and couldn’t stop smelling myself for the rest of the day! This stuff absorbed right into my skin and left it feeling soft all night-plus, how pretty would this jar be on a vanity?! At $52 a jar this stuff does not come cheap, so I held off on the purchase for now, but I will definitely be going back to pick this up for a special indulgence. I plan on bringing it along on my honeymoon-the perfect excuse for an splurge, right?!
